Weaves extensions are synthetic or real human hair extensions that can be added to your hair in different methods to add volume or length to your hair. The goal is it supposed to look natural. So let’s dive how to use weave hair extensions.

There are different methods of using weave extensions.


Sew-in

The hair is to braid with a needle and thread. The weft of hair sewed onto the head with a braid. It depends on how sensitive your scalp is and how tight your braids are, this can hurt you. If it is your first time using it, the twist of the braid may seem a little tight and uncomfortable which causes pressure. If this happens, tell your stylist for the immediate response of fixing the problem. The needle does not come near the skin.

New Weave Sew-in

This method is the same in sew-in, but with a net sewn over the braids. New weaves allow relieving tension and the hair not to swell as much after putting shampoo. The disadvantage of this method is that you’ll be less able to care for your real hair. If you have a thick hair, sew-in will be a good choice. If you have thin hair, weave sew-in fits for you adding more coverage.

Hair bonding or glue-in


The natural hair sectioned, and the weave extensions attached near your scalp with glue. If you are allergic to adhesives, this is not good for you. This type of method usually causes damage to your hair. If well maintained, it can last up to 2 months.


Fusion


The natural hair is sectioned and attached strand-by-strand using wax. It is the most expensive method and can last 3-6 months. This method is the most natural looking weave for they’re not visible.
